Juan Sanchez Sr was an exceptional man who lived for his family and grandchildren. Popo, as he was known to his granchildren, loved to spend time with his granchildren and my niece and nephew would always come home saying all the fun things they did with their Popo. He loved garage shopping and i feel like he inspired my parents to do the same. He was a kind, generous human being with and enormous heart. He will be greatly missed . May you rest in peace. It was an honor and pleasure to have met you

For the past 12 years Juan and Martha welcomed my sister as a daughter in law, with that they welcomed my mother and I. Our little family grew bigger. I witnessed Juan Sr. be a extraordinary PoPo to my niece and nephew, he loved all 4 of his grandchildren so much. He called everyday to wish them a great day and made sure he told them that he loved them. I would hear them talk about how much fun they had with their PoPo and Nana. The smile on his face when he would share his stories of finding great deals at garage sells, his love for the Dallas Cowboys, one Thanksgiving he was so excited to show us his outfit he had made for the team. He painted his clothes, shoes and face silver and blue, he always made sure he kept us laughing. Never will the time we all spent as family will be the same without him. He will be missed dearly! Thank you for making lasting memories and welcoming us!

Juan, always shared his treasures with my family and I. He gave me a painting of children playing... it is so beautiful. It hangs in my living room. You will never be forgotten. I know the gates of heaven opened to welcome you my friend. We will miss you.

I remember a time I went to visit Juan, on my way out I saw a Bush with beautiful green peppers. I mentioned to Juan what beautiful green peppers...he said taste one they are really sweet...if you like them I will give you some. So I took a bite of the pepper. .guess what they were I turned to look at Juan he thought it was hilarious. I asked him for water, he is still laughing. I ran in the house for water. still laughing hysterically... I will never forget that. Rest in peace my friend.

It was an honor & blessing to be your daughter in law. You welcomed me into your family with open arms & always treated me as your own. I will miss so much, your big hugs & your “ I love you mija” to me after every call or visit. I will miss all of your jokes, your smile & laugh, the pranks & goofiness, your giving & caring heart & even your stubbornness. You were the best PoPo the kids will ever have. Our loss is big but theirs is bigger because they didn’t get their grandpa long enough. Life will never be the same without you. A piece of our heart is gone, but from now on in every milestone there you’ll be. Forever in our hearts. It brings me peace to know that we’ve gained an angel in heaven who will now watch over us all. Love you Juan Sr.
Love Always, Celi

Tio Juan you will be greatly missed by all family and friends. I will always forever hold the memory of you in my heart when you would cook out in your front yard and make us all gather to eat and joke around. You and my dad( Manuel Sanchez)always had a special bond that was like no other. He will miss you greatly , but he will forever hold fond memories of you that he will never forget.

Tia Martha I will keep you in my prayers at this difficult time. Hold your head up and be strong.
