

Juanita C. Bernal, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 7th, 2017. She was born on May 9, 1942 in Mexico to Secundino and Moraima (Leija) Cervantes. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred G. Bernal, and five brothers Jose Luis, Eliseo, Benjamin, Refugio and Ismael Cervantes Leija.
Juanita is survived by her brothers Gonzalo and Carlos Cervantes Leija of Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico and sister Maria Elena Cervantes of Dallas, Texas; her daughters Maria Guadalupe Bernal-Perez (Adolfo), Elizabeth Bernal Platz (Roy Kraft), Rebecca Bernal (Noe Alba) and sons Fred Bernal and Jimmy Bernal (Veronica); Grandchildren Adrian Guadalupe and Daniel Armand Reynoso, Alexia Nicole Bernal, Taylor Julia , Mariah Giselle and Aidan Dallas Bernal. Great- Grandchildren Abigail Rylie Reynoso, Naomi Faith and Nadia Grace Lomax; many nieces and nephews and dear friends. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all those whose life she touched.
Juanita was born in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila Mexico and moved to Dallas, Texas in 1962. She fell in love with Fred G. Bernal and married 4 months later on December 31, 1962. Juana was employed for over 30 years working at Texas Instruments and retired early to enjoy life. Juanita spent her mornings with her coffee club guests at her home and enjoyed family, cooking and traveling and of course shopping.
She was a blessed spirit that touched so many people in so many ways. A beautiful, strong, wonderful person that loved all she met and cared for all like family.
