

She was the 5th child of seven children born to Exiquio and Modesta Rios. In 1955, she married Joe Cedillo and was married for 62 years. Together they had 6 children, Mary Jane, Rosanna, Anna, Joe Albert, John Paul and Michael Joe Anthony.
Juanita was the family matriarch and was committed to her family with tender loving care for each of them. She was unique in every way. To her, every family member was special. She looked forward to holidays and the time she spent with her family, particularly the little ones. She would organize return to school parties providing school supplies to her grandchildren. She would also plan holiday decorating parties with her grandchildren. She also looked forward to making tamales every year with her family. She enjoyed her coffee and pancakes which she ate daily, she enjoyed cleaning and painting her home, playing Gin rummy, word search puzzles but she particularly loved cooking for everyone. She was never afraid to take on additional responsibilities to ensure that her grandchildren were cared for. She raised her granddaughter, Jeanette, and raised her great grandchildren, Ariel, Alina and Troy. Juanita always had so much love to give and gave it unconditionally.
Juanita worked many years for Neiman Marcus and the Dallas Independent School District but mostly was a homemaker and took care of the many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Juanita was committed to serving the church in many organizations such as the Guadalupanas, the Marriage Encounter Group, Cathedral Choir, Usher, Fund Raising Committee, Eucharist Minister and served God to the fullest.
Juanita is survived by her children, Mary (Ralph), Anna (Gilbert), John (Cynthia), Michael (Debbie), her sister Helen Hernandez, her brother Robert Rios and her daughter-in-law Blanca Cedillo. She is also survived by her 32 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cedillo, her daughter Rosanna Gonzalez, her son Joe Albert Cedillo, grandson Jesus Cedillo, her parents, Exiquio and Modesta Rios, her brothers Jesse Rios, Raymond Rios Sr., and Raymond Rios.
She will be deeply missed by her family and all that knew but her traditions will go on forever.
A visitation will be held at Gonzalez Funeral Home, located at 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas, 75247, on December 4, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A rosary will take place at the same location on December 4, 2025, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Monica Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Road, Dallas, Texas, 75220, on December 5, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas, 75220, on December 5, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
