

Judith Chloann Smith, 77, of Rowlett, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025. Born on September 18, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, to Frank and Lula Mae Riggs, Judy lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering love for her family.
In 1971, Judy married Donald Smith, with whom she shared 50+ years of marriage. Together, they raised their sons, Sean and Cary, and built a home grounded in love and laughter. Judy's greatest joy came from being surrounded by her family—especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Known for her big heart and fun-loving spirit, Judy enjoyed gambling, cooking, and never missed an opportunity to dine at her favorite mexican restaurant, El Fenix. She had a way of making every gathering feel special and will be remembered for the care she showed to those around her.
Judy is preceded in death by her beloved siblings; Karen, Mary Alice, Norma, Betty, Bobbie, Marguerite, Linda, and Frank Jr. Her memory lives on through her husband, Donald Smith; son Sean Smith and his wife Angela; stepson Cary Smith and his wife Robin; and her cherished grandchildren, Alexis, Chloe, Shelby, and Harley. She is also survived by Sharron Bumpus, Brenda Riggs, Claudette Stamper, Duane Riggs, Carl Riggs, and many loving nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
Judy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her legacy of kindness, humor, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A visitation for Judy will be held on Thursday, June 5th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home, 10501 Garland Rd., Dallas, Texas. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with burial at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
