Julia Martinez

Julia was born in Havana, Cuba on June 9, 1926, to Julio and Nieves Suarez. Julia was married to Pedro Martinez II on December 28, 1965; they were married 39 years.

Julia worked as a bookkeeper for Texas Commerce Bank for 10 years . She enjoyed taking pictures and collecting owls. Her biggest joy was doing for others and spending time with friends and family.

Julia is preceded in death by her father Julio Suarez, mother Nieves Suarez, Son Pedro Martinez III, husband Pedro Martinez II and brother Ramon Suarez Sr and Sister-in-law Marisa Suarez.

Julia is survived by daughter and spouse Patricia and Kirk Jordan, Grandchildren Natasha and spouse Wesley Strickland, Alexis and spouse Kyle Bartlett, and Wesley Jordan. Great grandchildren Nora Strickland, Finley Bartlett and Jordan Bartlett. Nephews and niece Ramon and spouse Tammy and their children Lauren David and spouse Nolan, son Paxton and nephew Andrew Suarez. Niece Lourdes Suarez Durand and children Michael and Marie Aristizabal and son Luka. Nephew Robert and Mafer Aristizabal. Nephew Javier and spouse Poppy and their children Jackson, Henry and William Suarez, along with other family and friends.

Celebration of life will be held at 11AM on October 19 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery with Edward Robinson officiating. Committal will follow at Calvary Hill immediately after service. Reception to follow the services.
