I am very saddened to hear that Justi passed. I wasn’t sure how to spell her name and we could no longer reach her by phone. I found a Christmas card from her dated 2018. That’s how I knew…My mom and Justi were very good friends and they worked  together at Kubys.  In fact, I worked with Justi for a while when I filled in for mom while she cared for her good friend who was ill. I remember Justi as a fearless kind and very sweet woman, I liked her a lot… she had just the greatest laugh. Mama Rose and I have spoken of her fondly over the years. God bless her, she lived to almost 100. May she rest in peace with another great woman, and her friend, Rosie Bailey.

My most heartfelt Condoles to the loss of your Mother.  Justi was always so nice and good hearted to me. We sure had some nice times at gatherings and Austrian parties.  I always will remember her and keep her in my heart.

I met Justine (or "Oma" as we called her) when I was only 11 yrs old.   She was always so friendly and gracious to me.  I grew to love her like she was My Grandmother.  She always made a point to talk to me even when I was so young.  One time when I was 13, Oma asked Nancy, my sister, and I over to her house for an authentic home-cooked German meal with Susie, my older sister, and Rudi.   All dishes I had never heard of, and it was all delicious.  Man, was I ever impressed!  It was a very special night for me thanks to her.

When I grew up and was married, she was always so sweet to Frank as well.  We knew that she'd be there on every holiday because that's the way it was meant to be.   She was another great Grandmother to my son, Mark as well.  God Bless You, Oma.

Oma was always there at every family gathering and that's how she liked it.  She loved her family very much and especially those grandchildren. Then, when the great grandchildren started coming along, she was happier still.  Oma loved her friends, her family and she liked to have a good time.  She was especially sweet to my sister Suzzette as her mother-in-law .  Family was everything to the Philipp family, especially Christmas Eve when Oma made her favorite dish for the family.  She taught them how to make it so  they could make it together every year.  What memories they have.  She was always so thoughtful to each of us and I will always remember her as a second grandmother who loved me. I miss you Oma. Nancy
