Karl Mikael Borgeson, age 33, passed away on March 19, 2019 in Garland, Texas. He was born on October 8, 1985 in Eschenbach, Germany to Guy and Carol Borgeson. Karl was raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and graduated from Spring Creek Community College in 2013. He married Kristin Lynn Carpenter in 2008 and the couple had one child. He was a Security Shift Manager at Allied Security where he worked from more than seven years. In his spare time, Karl enjoyed operating a ham radio, writing code, building computers, reading Reddit, sharing time with his family, following the Texas Rangers, learning new technologies, eating junk food, playing video games, and sharing time with his son, Walker. His family and friends will always remember him as a kind, giving, gentle, funny, quirky and highly intelligent person. Mr. Borgeson was an organ donor, and achieved Star rank while in the Boy Scouts. He is survived by his wife, Kristin; son, Walker; father, Guy Borgeson; mother, Carol Borgeson; siblings, Andrea Serovey, Kristen Elrod, Jon Borgeson, and Hannah Wright; in-laws, Robert and Patricia Carpenter along with their daughter, Victoria.
