Kathryn Stowe Clark

Kathryn Stowe Clark, wonderful and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019, in Dallas, TX. Kathryn was born June 10, 1933, to Marie and Paul Stowe of Dallas. Her faith in God, her love of family and friends, was recognized by all.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Clark of Winnsboro, TX; children Suzanne Grimes of Longview, Bill Grimes and wife Debbie of Plano, Lizabeth Dorough and husband Lee of Plano, James Clark Jr. and Shana Sallaska of Richardson, sister Paula Cushman and husband Al of Plano, brother in law David Clark and wife Cheryl of Garland, brother in law William Jack Grimes and wife Sue of Richardson, grandchildren; Brittany Nelson and husband Daniel of Garland, Michael Grimes of Plano, Madison Dorough of Plano, TX; Megan Dorough of Plano, Ronnie Clark of Garland, James E Clark of Richardson, and William Clark of Richardson – all of Texas.

Nieces and nephews Camie Cushman of Austin; Paul Cushman, wife Jenny and family - Allison, Andrew and Stewart of Flower Mound; Clint Cushman, wife Kristi and family - Colton, Blaine and Payton of Austin, lovingly referred to her as “Sister” or “Aunt Sister”.

Kathryn graduated from Woodrow Wilson High school in 1950 and continued her studies at Texas Tech in Lubbock. After 37 years of service with Dr. Pepper Company, Kathryn retired on June 5th, 1995. In 2001, Kathryn married James Martin Clark and they moved to Winnsboro where they have been very active with the First United Methodist Church of Winnsboro, TX. Kathryn loved the time spent with the crafting group and spoke often and fondly of the UMW Bible studies.

A graveside service will be at 1:00PM on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, followed by a reception in Kathryn’s honor in the parlor of Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home.
