
Mrs. Kathryn Jenkins-Mabry was the daughter of the late Minnie Lee Bradley and Earnest Mabry in Calvert, Texas. She was the younger of two siblings born to this holy union. At an early age she was baptized at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Calvert, Texas. This began her walk with God. She later jointed Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas where her membership remained until the Lord called her home. Her educational journey found her attending B.F. Darrell Elementary School and later graduating from Booker T. Washington High School in Dallas. She received numerous certificates for attending, participating and completing trainings in Early Childhood Development – Infant Care and Development and Personal Safety, Bryan’s House and AIDS/HIV Awareness. Mrs. Kathryn Jenkins-Mabry worked as a Nutritional Resources Specialist for Texas A&M University. After 15 years of dedicated service she retired. She later worked at Safeway Foods, Samuels Packing Company and was a Domestic Engineer. Additionally, she served as an aid for Visiting Nurses Association as well. Her labors of love, witnessed by many, were gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, and sewing. To know her was to enjoy her beautiful and tender smile. In 1943 she united with Oscar Jenkins in holy matrimony and to this union one child was born, Lois. Saddened by her passing, yet rejoicing in her well lived life are her daughter Lois Jenkins, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
