Katie Jo Enloe, 35, passed away in the early morning hours of July 3, 2018, at her mother’s home in Dallas, TX, following a 6 month battle with leukemia. She fought a long and hard fight, and now she rests in the arms of her Savior. She was the wife of Jason Enloe for 9 years and mother to Emma and Madeline.

Born in Odessa, TX, she was the daughter of Jimmy and Debra Breaux and Eddie Harris. She graduated from Permian High School and went on to attend Angelo State University. She earned a second degree at Texas Women’s University. Before children, she was employed as a dental hygienist by Aspen Dental. In recent years, Katie was living out her dream of being a full-time mother to her two young daughters.

Katie has served as a member of the Junior League of Dallas, attended Grace Bible Church and was a member of the “Mommy Club” for almost six years ,where she truly delighted in the joys of motherhood. She enjoyed date nights with Jason, spending time with her family, supporting SMU golf, taking the kids to Disney World, shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and traveling to the Master’s tournament. In the evenings, she was likely to be found giggling while playing Nintendo with Emma. She will be remembered for being a woman who loved to live and lived to love. She has impacted many lives with her unwavering faith in God through all circumstances. Anyone who has had the privilege of calling her friend has been blessed by her generosity and her incredibly contagious smile.

A visitation will take place at the Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home on Thursday, July 5th, 2018, from 4 to 7pm. On Friday, July 6, 2018, the service will be held at Park Cities Baptist Church at 10am, with the procession to the cemetery to immediately follow.

The family encourages those who knew and loved Katie to consider, in Katie's honor, signing up to be a donor for Be the Match.

My deepest sympathies to Debbie & Jimmy. Debbie, I remember you bringing in Katie one day at Smith Barney to meet us. What a beautiful, elegant and charming young lady she was! May God bless you and your family and sustain you with her memory and your knowledge and faith that you will meet again.

Katie, you were my rock through dental hygiene school. I’ll never forget how amused you were to refer to me as “ the friend born in the 70’s”. Six Flags, fun times at your apartment, studying for tests and being the brace face guinea pigs for the class are just a few of the things I will remember fondly. Most of all, I will remember your beautiful smile and that you were a true and faithful friend. Rest now, love. You’ve earned it.

Katie my sweet pretty girl. I had the pleasure of spending two years with you as you went through the dental hygiene program. I get close to these students and you became a part of my heart too. You always had the cutest purses. You had the prettiest smile and a giving heart. When you finished and were ready to leave temple you gave me a small entertainment stand that served me for many years. Katie I know that you will be missed by many and you leave many sadden hearts including mine but God needed you more and called you home. I pray for comfort for all the families in this time of sorrow. Thank you Katie for being my friend.
