Kaye Gold, known by her family as “Nana,” died after fighting an illness at the age of 76 on the 29th of December in Dallas, Texas. Kaye was dearly loved by devoted friends and doting family and known for being generous, hospitable and charitable. She was a proud mother and grandmother and was often bragging about and celebrating her family to anyone who would listen. She was a leader or member of many clubs, and her favorite hobbies were playing bridge, cuddling with her dog and watching the stock market. She lived a bold and big life, traveling the world with her husband of 43 years. With ageless beauty and graceful confidence, she commanded a room and turned every head with her stunning presence and fearless personality. With Kaye's passing, it is the end of an era of class, glamour and elegance. Kaye was born in Mansfield, Texas, to James Charles and Ruby Mae. She moved to New York in her 20s where she modeled, starred in commercials and acted in various films including Funny Girl, Madigan and What’s so Bad about Feeling Good? After marrying Allen Gold and moving to Dallas, she was a diligent and devoted mother to her only daughter, Ashley, and a surrogate mother to many more. Always social, she valued her friendships and spent much of her time fostering connections. Her greatest joys were her family, spoiling her grandchildren, and her lifelong friends. She is survived by her daughter Ashley Kuehne and husband Ryan, granddaughter Grace Macchia and grandson John Kuehne, sister Loretta Pressley and brother-in-law Kenneth Pressley. She is welcomed in heaven by her sisters Beverly Howard and Sharon Hamilton, her parents James Charles and Ruby Mae, and her beloved husband Allen Gold. The family is honoring Kaye’s expressed request for no memorial services. Donations in memoriam can be made to the SPCA at https://www.spca.org.
