Kayland DeVaughn McKinney

Kayland De’Vaughn McKinney, was born in Dallas, Texas on August 12, 1975 to the parentage of Rowland Vaughn Roberson and Phyllis Annise McKinney and departed his earthly home on June 14, 2022. He was the eldest of three children. He accepted Christ at an early age. Kayland was educated in the Dallas Independent School District where he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1993. In 1992 while in high school, Kayland met the love of his life Logenia Booker. They were wed on October 23, 1998 to their union three beautiful children were born. They were blessed to enjoy life together for 30 wonderful years, 23 of those years were as husband and wife.

Kayland was a dedicated employee at Samsung for 20 years as an Operational Manager where he maintained an excellent work ethic. He was a loving hardworking, dedicated selfless father who put everyone before himself. If you needed it, and he had it and it was yours.

Kayland is preceded in death by his grandfather Raymond E. McKinney, and uncle Raymond L. McKinney.

Left to cherish his precious memories and continue his legacy, his loving wife Logenia McKinney, sons Kayland De’Vaughn McKinney Jr, Kobe D’Shaun McKinney and daughter Kaylee Deon McKinney, his father Rowland Roberson, mother Phyllis McKinney, sisters Plesence Bell (Keith), Special Elimian (Issac), grandmother Mary Louise McKinney, close brotherly friends Alfred James, Barron Waleford Sr. and Robert Grant and a very special Brother-in-Law Stevenson Booker.
