

Kelly Lynne Trapp, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully at home of natural causes on November 7th, 2025. A woman of unwavering faith, she is now fully healed and home with her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.
She was born on February 8th, 1971, in Weatherford,OK to Stephen Mark Trapp and Dorothy McCoy Trapp. At the age of 2 years old her family relocated to Plano,TX. Upon completing school she worked in different retail settings, in the telecommunications industry, and as a Montessori school teacher. Kelly was a woman who never cared about material things and never met a stranger. She cared much more about every person she encountered and truly saw them through the lens of the love she held for her Savior. She was a member of Watermark Community Church where she attended and completed many amazing programs. She served in many ministries, most recently in Refuge, a ministry of hope for people who battle chronic illness or serve as a caregiver for a loved one. Kelly found true joy in caring for her companion and beloved dog, Kira. Her legacy of faith, love and service will continue to live on through the lives of those who knew her.
She is survived by: Her father and stepmother Steve and Sherry Trapp; her mother and stepfather Dorothy and Kevin Kite-Powell; Her sister Deedee Selner and her husband Brad and their children, Kate, Jack and Luke; Her brother and sister-in-law Preston and Deborah Trapp and their son, Wyatt; Her sister Kirsten Trapp; Her step-sisters Shannon Kite-Powell and Becky Parsons; Her step-brother Brad Kite-Powell; Her Aunts and Uncles; Jack and Donna McCoy; Bob and Deky Hall; Terry Burkham.
Preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents; Robert & Dorothy McCoy, Paternal Grandparents: James & Virginia Stavenhagen, Step-brother Scottie Parsons.
A Memorial Service will be held at Watermark Community Church in the Chapel on Monday, November 17th at 10 AM.
