IN THE CARE OF
Laurel Land Funeral Home & Laurel Land Memorial Park
Kenneth W. Cox Sr. passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2022 at the age of 61.
Kenneth is preceded in death by Fred Cox (Father), Bernadine Cox (Mother), Mattie Bell Williams (Sister), Calvin Williams (Brother), Carl Cox (Brother), David Cox (Brother), Lester Cox (Glenda) and is survived by Shelia Cox (Wife), Shekendriah Cox (Daughter), Kenneshia Cox (Daughter), Kenneth W. Cox II (Son), Dallas: Rosetta Cox (Sister), Eunice Miller (Betty), Clyde Williams (Anita), Berdell Goosby (Paul), Ft. Worth: Freddie Cox (Sister), Waxahachie: Micheal Cox (Brother), Atlanta: Denise Martin (Sister), two grandsons, several nieces, nephews, in-laws and a host of friends and relatives.
He was a proud, hardworking, and friendly man who never met a stranger. He was a popular fixture in Waxahachie and the surrounding communities. His passions were carpentry, tree trimming, landscaping, music, and watching movies. You could always find him laughing, joking and having a good time. Kenneth was a lighthearted spirit who brightened the lives of anyone he came in contact with. He enjoyed trees, singing karaoke, detailing his cars, binge watching tv shows and playing pool.
Anyone who has known Kenneth Cox holds the memory of that infectious laugh, that Texas-sized smile, and that cowboy hat. These memories that you have of him then, are the memories that he wants you to have of him now: his laugh, his smile, and his hat.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.laurellanddallas.com for the Cox family.
