I did not know King well, only meeting him a couple times, but he had been living in our community for the last year with his beautiful daughter and adorable little dog. Even if you did not know King personally, everyone here knew the guy with a small fleet of nice cars. King would always drive his daughter to school in one of them, even though they lived a short walk from the elementary school, and we often saw him slowly cruising through the community or out handwashing them, always waving at anyone looking his way. 

My deepest condolences go out to his daughter, son, and all of his family and friends. I am very sorry for your loss. I know King was a proud Christian, and may his spirit watch over you all.

Sorry to hear this about King, I used to play with him when we were kids over in Oak Cliff. He used to make me laugh and I liked making him laugh. He used to sing at Church with his older brother and i would make fun of them dressed like milk men in white, they used to chase me to hit me, made me laugh all the time. Rip childhood friend.
