Kristina, you were a special one, & were taken away too soon. I will forever miss you. 

I still miss my best friend. There is rarely a day that goes by that I do not think of Kristina. She was taken from this earth so quickly, so suddenly, that I still have a huge hole in my heart. The only small consolation I have is that Kristina is in heaven, free from any suffering. She is at peace. But I still miss her. I think about Kristina often. Sometimes, I ask myself, when I am struggling with a problem, 'what would Kristina do?'. I direct my question towards the heavens. I don't always get an answer, but I don't mind. To grieve is a process, and there is no timeline. I still grieve  the loss of my friend Kristina. I still have our picture, taken so many years ago, in my grandparent's backyard, on my refrigerator. It's been relocated to it's place for 3  apartment moves across town and sometimes, across the country. But also, I grieve for those living that have not had the pleasure of knowing Kristina personally. To know Kristina is a gift in itself. It saddens me that this remarkable woman, with such high hopes, will not be able to  fulfill all of her amazing goals. She would have touched thousands, without a doubt. Kristina, you are never forgotten. Please know that. Missing you, Ruthie

Kristina, you were the best friend I have ever had. I have so many wonderful memories of you. You were truly amazing and special in every way. I am so happy that we were able to stay so close after years of being away from each other. I love you so very much and will always! I remember Kristina's vivid red hair and porcelain skin, so graceful as she dove into the Royal Oaks pool so many summers ago. My heart goes out to her family.
