Landon Ekoy Hines, 53, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on October 4, 2026. Born April 17, 1973, in Dallas, Texas, Landon was the son of Lanny Hines Sr. and Sharon Simpson. From his earliest years, he carried a steady spirit—marked by kindness, gentleness, and a thoughtful way of moving through the world—that left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Landon was educated in the Richardson Independent School District. In every season of life, he was known for a quiet consideration of others, offering care in ways that did not seek attention, but were deeply felt. His sense of adventure added depth to his days, balanced by a warm heart and a calm presence that brought comfort to family and friends alike.

Landon was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon.

Those left to cherish his memories include his parents, Lanny and Gloria Hines Sr.; his spouse, Brenda Hines; his children, David, Nathan, Elijah, and Kaden Hines; two brothers, Robert Simpson and Lanny Hines Jr.; two sisters, Kimberly Hines (Jasper Drennon) and Roxanna Gilstrap; his aunt, Deborah Baker; his uncle, Charlie Nash; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
