Ms. Laura Concetta Navarino Long

Laura was born on May 28, 1952, in Brooklyn, NY, to Ralph and Angelina Navarino. The younger of two children, she was a member of the Samuell High School Class of 1970.

Laura married Richard Cannon in 1972 and had her first daughter in 1978, the late Christy Dianne Cannon. Christy passed away in 1980 at the tender age of 2 from multiple medical difficulties. Laura’s cremated remains will be buried with her daughter Christy, fulfilling Laura's wish for her and Christy to be together in eternity. Their final resting place is adjacent to Laura’s parents, who loved both Christy and Laura dearly.

Laura gave birth to her eldest living child, Brian Cannon, in 1981. She later married Richard Long and had her 3rd and 4th children, Brittany and Michael Long in 1992 and 1993, respectively. These three, along with Laura's older brother, Ralph Navarino, Jr., remain to cherish her memory.

She was a longtime Southwestern Bell employee, beginning in 1979 and commencing with her retirement in 2008. She loved her friends and family very much. She was a kind, genuine and generous person with a lively personality, and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

The Holy Rosary will be prayed at 11:30AM on Saturday, August 29, 2015, in the Calvary Hill Cemetery Mausoleum North Chapel. A Memorial Mass will follow the Rosary at 12:00 Noon and will also be held in the North Chapel.
