This beautiful lady here took my family and turn us around from a fatherless son to teach him how to deal with his anger, a fatherless daughter to know she is loved and no matter what and to a grieving child that grief is ok but work through it and smile until you can't smile anymore. Was always a fashionista and had a beautiful personality. She knew the Lord with all of her mind and soul. 

I can not believe that you are not here with us any longer. You counseled my wife and I through our trying times and we are forever grateful. Thank you for all your time and all the knowledge you gave us, it is greatly appreciated. You must have been an angel sent to help us get our lives right before it was too late...we started seeing you around March 2018 and kept coming til the beginning of 2019....you were just moving to your new office up north off of 75...crazy!!! May God bless you and the beautiful soul you had...thank you for your wisdom...🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽☝🏾☝🏾☝🏾

The news of your sacred crossing was learned today.  Within a mega church family we connect in various capacities; close encounter, church greetings,  passing by, seated side-by-side, observation during services within the church events, established friendships, and ministry memberships and various participation.  We all connect as church members even when one leaves the church joining another church; we serve one God, the Created of all things. I remember you being poised, polished, graceful, well-presented, and with impeccable  graciousness.  With a flash of your picture on the screen; the news of your crossing may have reached so many others.  We call people and share the news so we can all celebrate the home going together.  You are now absent from the body, but present with the LORD.  Forever Remembered.  Rest Well.

Dr. Lawanda Evans,
I can recall the day that you shared your accomplishment of earning the doctorate with me.  My heart burst with joy because I knew that the potential that I saw in you  while taking  my counseling classes at Texas Southern University had  been realized.  You were the  "special" student that became the  professional who did not forget  to maintain a relationship with professors from her Alma Mater.
I always looked forward to our visits at the Texas Counseling Association annual growth conferences.   
As your former professor,  I will always keep  you in my memories.

I’m still at a loss for words and am still carrying a heavy heart.  However, I find much comfort in knowing that you Loved the Lord and you had a personal relationship with Him.  I will miss our talks, our bond, and our friendship.  You  were a jewel and was always loyal to your family and friends.  Rest on, my dear  sweet friend.

Dr. Evans was the brightest shinning star at Argosy University in Dallas. She was so warm, gentle, and full of positivity. I was so nervous standing in front of her giving my presentation but she was her loving self. She gave great feedback and took great care to show us love and nurturing as potential therapists. She truly touched my life with her gentle and loving guidance. Some were jealous cause she loved on me a little and I soaked it up! I loved seeing her because she was that special someone I needed to see to help me  remember that things will be ok. I will miss her. 
Rest with the Angels, friend.  Until we meet again!

MY HEART IS HEAVY AFTER GETTING TO CHURCH SUNDAY AND I FIND OUT LAWANDA HAD TRANSITIONED AND WENT ON TO BE WITH THE LORD, STILL DIFFICULT TO ACCEPT HER DEPARTURE.  ELDER BETTY JACKSON

Dr. LaWanda Evans was an outstanding leader and active member of the Texas Counseling Association for more than 15 years.  We will miss her tremendously.  Dr. Evans served as President of the Dallas Metro Counseling Association and on TCA’s Graduate Student Committee.  She attended every single Professional Growth Conference since 2006 and presented at most.  Her legacy will live on in those she touched, the professional counselors she trained, and the commitment she engendered in all professional counselors who had the great fortune to meet her, work with her, hang out with her, or attend one of her many great programs.  On behalf of her TCA family, we extend our deepest condolences to LaWanda’s family.  Thank you for sharing her with us.

WOW!! When I got the text asking me about her, I said what!! Dr. LaWanda and I would talk and talk. The last time I spoke with her was on the days she went to see Barack Obama and I told her to listen for the both of us.  She said I took notes for you girl!. I never got my notes. She was empowering to me and inspirational. We laughed and joked all the time in the office and out. I will truly miss my friend and I can truly say that. Sleep well my friend and I'm gonna miss your infectious spirit!

 WOW!!!  We were always like two ships passing in the night as you were coming into the office I was leaving.  Somehow, we managed to get out little giggles and words of encouragement in while you waited for your client to come.   I'm grateful for the time that you were in my life.  You kept me laughing and encouraged to do more in my practice as well.  I'm glad you FINALLY listened (to me and several others I sure) and started to work with couples, look at the huge impact you made on their lives.  I'm glad we have our staff and Christmas pictures so we'll never forget that infectious smile.  Love you lady!  God give her family and friends peace that settles this weight that sits on their (our) hearts, as only You can.  In Jesus name!! AMEN

LaWanda's laugh was contagious.  She had a beautiful smile and personality.  I am going to miss her.  To the family and those close to her, I am truly, truly sorry for your loss.  Prayers for the family are going up daily.

Thanks for coming into my life! You are truly a blessing! I am forever thankful for you, your love, support, but most importantly your friendship!
