Lawrence Samuel Cummings

Lawrence Samuel Cummings, 45, of Mesquite passed away on May 11, 2013. He was born in Dallas, Texas on August 6, 1967. He was a loving father, brother, son, uncle and friend. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for his family and friends. Sam loved the outdoors and to be in nature. Sam was an avid deer hunter and he also enjoyed passing the time by fishing. His favorite retreat was in Arkansas, where the tranquil scenery and his solitary thoughts brought him ultimate peace.

Sam is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Cummings Jr.; sons, Aaron and Nicholas Cummings, niece, Morgan Paige Cummings.

He is survived by his mother, Louellen Farine Cummings of Mesquite; brothers, Don Cummings of Dallas, Roger Cummings of Kaufman; sister in law, Shannon Cummings of Kaufman; daughters, Lawren and Shelbie Cummings of Mesquite; aunt, Bessie Mae Watkins of Carrollton; uncle, Charles E. Cummings of Dallas; nephews, Roger Cummings, Jr. of New York, John-Michael Cummings of Mesquite, Brenden Cummings of Kaufman; niece, Stephanie Cummings of Dallas and his loving rabbit, Pebbles. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in the Grove Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
