Mrs. Lee Ella Toliver was born on October 12, 1931 in Flatonia, Texas to Otis Mills and Tommie Lee Butler. After graduating from high school, Lee Ella Mills met and married Daniel Obbie Toliver on June 29, 1950 in Bryan, Texas.
In 1959 the married couple moved to Oakland, California and raised their family. To this union seven children were born two boys and five girls. Mrs. Toliver became Mother Toliver quickly, as she experienced raising her own children and others.
She later attended Laney College completing the Nurses Aid Program.
She accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in 1961 becoming a member of Union Baptist Church in Oaland, California under the leadership of Pastor J.L. Strawther and later Pastor Ed Nation. She served as an Usher and Young Adult Leader. The growth and height of her Spiritual Life came when Pastor Daniel Toliver was called and appointed to pastor First Cornithian Missionary Baptist Church of Oakland, California. First Lady Toilver served two decades with her husband building strong famlies to the Glory of God. First Lady Toliver welcomed families as Jesus did, "Who SoEver Will Let Him Come."
One of her favorite things to do was go shopping. She met many people "In The Stores" spreading the Gospel. " In The Store" encourageing others. "In The Store" ministering to others. Many of her children and grandchildren grew to love her because she always bought them something special from the store. Mother Toliver's sense of fashion and creativity was astounding. She was often referred to as a Fashionista. Mother Toliver enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her church, familly and friends.

She was a sower whose seeds of care and love will remain forever planted in our hearts, until we meet at Jesus feet. We will hold on too and cherish the memories of her kindness, love and care.
