I was shocked and saddened to learn today, from a mutual patient, of Dr. Nesbitt's passing. He was a wonderful colleague, always willing to discuss a case when we were across the hall from each other at Jo Ellen Smith, and we traded supplies there. He was always so kind--to his patients, his staff and his colleagues. I will miss him very much. Our profession has lost a great Physician.

Our condolences to Dr. Nesbitt's family, friends and coworkers – our prayers are with him and with you. It was an honor to have had him for the past 17 years as our family dermatologist, having been referred by the Baton Rouge Clinic for Claude's extremely rare skin disorder. Dr. Nesbitt was a very humble, kind, thoughtful, compassionate, empathetic and intelligent person. His bedside manners were top-of-the-chart. We put him on our local Prayer Line for March 25 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He will certainly be missed by many. PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS.

Lee personified all the best attributes connected with the concept of "Southern Gentleman". I consider it a great privilege to have worked along side him during the New Orleans segment of my career. His humility and friendliness belied his enormous accomplishments. We are all better people for having known him.

Dr. Nesbitt was my doctor for many years and he was always pleasant. Dr. Nesbitt had a great bed side manner and always smiled with me. He was truly a kind and caring person and I will miss him. My condolence to his family and his work staff. He will be missed.

One has only to read the Obituary and the glowing commentaries,
to realize that his quality of character will live on in the lives of
those with whom he had contact. When God called this kind and
humble man, He created a gigantic hole in the goodness of humanity.
To Dr. Carew, Lee and extended families, my heartfelt sorrow, my
prayers for him, and you all in your grief. - Long time patient,

Family and Friends of Dr. Lee Terrell Nesbitt,
I was saddened to learn of "Terry"'s death -- that is how I knew him. Since we graduated from Rayne High School, I had only seen him once at a reunion. He was the same sweet person who befriended me when I transferred in the 10th grade. I am so sorry for your loss and the loss of his gifts to the medical and health science community. He was equally brilliant in high school as he demonstrated himself to be throughout his life. I remember him to be a kind and sweet person with a beautiful smile. God bless you all.
