Leland Allen Sims. Born January 24, 1922, in Jackson, Tennessee, passed away, February 11, 2010, in Dallas, Texas. Leland graduated High School in Bogota, Texas and was a graduate of East Texas State College. He retired from B and L Labels in 1984, and was a member of East Minster Presbyterian Church. Survivors include: wife, Ruth Sims; sons, Robert Sims and wife Renae, David Sims; daughter, Debbie Dawson and husband Dwain; grandchildren, Ashley Boyland and husband Shawn, Chris White and wife Jocelyn, Bryan Sims and wife Lindsy, Andrew Sims, Jennifer Sims, and Erin Sims; 3 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends, Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. A Memorial Service will be held, 12:00 Noon, Saturday, February, 13, 2010, East Minster Presbyterian Church, 6550 Samuell Blvd., Dallas, Texas.
