December 17, 2016 at the age of 84. Jean was born on December 6, 1932 in Silver Point, TN
where she lived with her large family until she moved to Nashville, TN with her older sister to
finish high school. Once she graduated high school in 1951, she and her sister moved to Dallas,
TX. There she gave birth to her first child, a daughter she lovingly placed for adoption. In Dallas
she met her future husband, got married to him in 1954 and settled into life in Dallas. A year
later her son was born. Jean had to wait another 13 1/2 years for her second daughter to be
born. Jean loved being a mother and also played a large role in the care of one of her
granddaughter’s. Jean was a very giving, loving and selfless person. She opened her heart and
home to many, including her nieces and granddaughter in a time of need. She sacrificed a lot for
her family and was a wonderful example of how to love unconditionally. She will always be
remembered for her pleasant and joyful demeanor, never complaining about anything nor
saying a mean word about anyone. Her children and grandchildren are grateful that she talked
to them about God’s love for them and regularly prayed for them. Early in 2016, Jean was able
to meet some new family members, the daughter she gave up for adoption along with 2 adult
granddaughters; it was a joyful reunion and meeting. Jean, also known as mom, grandma, and
Aunt Jean, loved all of us well and will be greatly missed. Jean is preceded in death by her
husband, Amelio Frank Lepore; son, Barry Stephen Lepore; her parents General Dalton Puckett
and Cora Beatrice Bates; her brothers Carl Puckett, William Puckett, Elbert Puckett, Ralph
Puckett, Floyd Puckett, Winn Puckett, Alton Puckett, Billy Puckett, and Henry Puckett; and her
sisters Nancy Eveline McBurnett and Clara Mae Castro. Jean is survived by her daughter
Debbie Hayes of Eufaula, AL; granddaughters Melissa Walsh Hudson and Stephanie Walsh
Franklin; grandson Charlie Walsh; daughter Stacy Lynn Prince and husband Robert Lewis
Prince of Plano, TX; granddaughters Emmaline Bronwen Prince and Madeline Arden Prince;
granddaughter Jennifer Nicole Lepore; and nieces Debbie Banda and Lisa Turner. Viewing and
visitation will be held December 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Sparkman-Crane Funeral
Home, Dallas. A graveside service and burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Grove Hill Memorial
