Leónica Collazo Rico, hija de Primitivo Rico y Julia Galarza nació en Ciudad del maíz, San Luis Potosí, México el 9 de octubre de 1935. Se casó con Pedro Collazo Meza en 1972 en la Ciudad del Maíz, San Luis Potosí, México. Trabajó en Mission Tortilla Factory de donde se retiró después de 16 años. Fue una fiel testigo de Jehová y era miembro de la Congregación de City Park Spanish.
La Sra. Leónica Collazo Rico fue precedida en muerte por su esposo Pedro Collazo Meza y sus padres, Primitivo Rico y Julia Galarza, y sus hermanos Aristeo Rico Galarza y Aurelia Rico Galarza. A ella le sobreviven sus hijos, yernos y nueras Francisco Collazo, Andrea Collazo, Lupe Collazo, Jose Alvarez y Liona C. Alvarez, Otilio y Francisca Collazo, Tomas Collazo, Macario Mireles y Bacilisa Mireles Collazo, Julia Collazo, Jose Collazo, Manuel Patiño y Ana Collazo, Domitila Collazo, Melvin Hewitt y Margarita Hewitt, su hermana Florina Rico Galarza y 42 nietos, 68 bisnietos y 7 tataranietos.

Leónica Collazo Rico, 84, of Ciudad del Maíz, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, passed away on February 15, 2020 in Dallas, TX.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM, Wednesday, 2/19/2020 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. The service will be at 6:30 PM.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, 2/20/2020 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. Burial to follow.
Leónica Collazo Rico was born in Ciudad del Maíz, San Luis Potosí, Mexico to Primitivo Rico and Julia Galarza on October 9, 1935. She married Pedro Collazo Meza in 1972 in Ciudad del Ciudad del Maíz, San Luis Potosí, Mexico. She worked at Mission Tortilla Factory for 16 years. She was a devoted Jehova’s Witness and attended the City Park Spanish Congregation.
Leónica Collazo Rico is preceded in death by her husband Pedro Collazo, Meza, her parents, Primitivo Rico y Julia Galarza and her brother and sister, Aristeo Rico Galarza and Aurelia Rico Galarza.
Leónica Collazo Rico is survived by her children and their spouses Francisco Collazo, Andrea Collazo, Lupe Collazo, Jose Alvarez and Liona C. Alvarez, Otilio and Francisca Collazo, Tomas Collazo, Macario Mireles and Bacilisa Mireles Collazo, Julia Collazo, Jose Collazo, Manuel Patiño and Ana Collazo, Domitila Collazo, Melvin Hewitt and Margarita Hewitt, her sister, Florina Rico Galarza, and 42 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
