Leroy was a dedicated family man all his life - a loving son, brother, husband, father and "PaPa". In 1955, after attending Forest Avenue High School, he met and married the love of his life, Naomi and for over 63 years they were inseparable. He professionally worked as a surveyor for two civil engineering companies directly involved in many high profile projects within the Dallas area. Some of those were surveying Lake Ray Hubbard, I-35, the Fort Worth Turnpike and Big Town Mall. Then later in his life, he worked for National Oilwell becoming a machinist. Leroy retired after working there for 22 years. Leroy enjoyed fishing, hunting, driving his tractor and spending time with his family. He was often known for working in his garden. He felt great joy in sharing his home grown produce. Leroy will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Leroy was preceded in death by his father, James A. Jackson; his mother, Ida Mae Brown Jackson; brother, Jimmy Joe Jackson and son, Robbie Lee Jackson.
Leroy is survived by his loving wife of 63 plus years, Anna Naomi Jackson; Children: Melinda Murray and husband, Gary and Kenneth Jackson; Grandchildren: Amanda Jackson, Joshua Warren and wife, Jenna, Kelsey Jackson and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Lavern Feltman and Linda Welchel.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 5-7 pm with the Funeral on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 10am both at Landmark Family Fellowship Church.
