Lidia Pena Sanchez, age 86, passed away on March 1, 2022 in Dallas, TX. She was born on November 11, 1935 in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico to Simon Pena and Julia Martinez Pena. Lidia was raised in Nuevo Laredo. She married Emeterio Sanchez in 1966 in Pharr, Texas and the couple had five daughters.
Lidia was a devoted mother and grandmother. She had a strong faith that kept her humble. She was the source of guidance and strength for her family. She enjoyed cooking her family’s favorite recipes. Her passion for music kept her young at heart. Most important, she left a legacy of devotion and love for her grandchildren. Her kindness and absolute love for her family will live in their hearts forever.
Lidia was preceded in death by her husband, Emeterio Sanchez, daughter, Margarita Sanchez, father, Simon Pena, mother, Julia Martinez Pena, siblings, Raul Pena and Carmen Pena Almanza.
She is survived by, her daughters, Lydia Sanchez, Julia Sanchez, Irma Barragan and Mariana Centers,
son-in-law Chris Centers, grandchildren, Julianne Barragan, Edison Barragan, Emily Centers, siblings, Roberto Pena and Teresa Pena.
