Lillie was born on March 25, 1954, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Everlean and J.C. Watkins of Rayville, Louisiana, and graduated high school from Rayville High School in 1972. She married Charles on January 19, 1971, in Rayville, Louisiana. They later settled in Dallas, Texas, having three children: LaTacha, Charles, Jr., and Simeon.
Lillie always made herself available to her family and friends. She was a member of Lancaster Community Baptist Church and retired from AT&T. Lillie loved to garden, talk to friends and shop to give gifts to others. She had a strong love for the Lord and she was wonderful mother and wife to her family. Lillie always made herself available to help others by listening to them, supporting and visiting them in time of need. She was full of life and determined to live life to the fullest.
On Friday, April 13, 2018, Lillie was called from her Labor to her Reward in Glory. She was welcomed by her parents, Everlean and J.C. Watkins; siblings, Frank Sanders, Evelyn Ratliff, Adelle Watkins, and Calvin Watkins; and her son, Simeon Williams.
Lillie leaves to forever remember her life, love and legacy, her husband, Charles Williams, Sr.; children, LaTacha Williams-Johnson (James) and Charles Williams, Jr. (Erica); grandchildren, Christopher Johnson and Erica Johnson; great-grandchild, Carson Moffiet; siblings, Callie Simmons, Clara Rogers (Isaac), Joe Watkins (Ernestine), and Edward Watkins (Lou Della); and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
