Linda was born on July 16, 1953 in The Hague, The Netherlands to Johannes and Hermine Hesselberg and immigrated with her family to the United States in 1958. She graduated from Garland High School in 1971 and attended Eastfield College. She worked in accounting for the majority of her working years.
Defined by her love and care for her family and pets, Linda will always be remembered as a loving sister, a devoted aunt, and an ardent advocate for animal welfare. She loved to cook and shared her food with others as a way of showing her love for them. Linda delighted in the company of her family, and in turn, her family delighted in hers. Those who loved her will fondly remember her for her selflessness, loving-kindness, and gentle nature. She will be terribly missed by those who truly knew and loved her.
Linda is survived by her siblings and their families: 2 sisters, 3 brothers, 2 half sisters, and her many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Johnny.
In honor of her final wishes, there will be a private inurnment ceremony attended by close family members at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home and Hillcrest Memorial Park.
