Linda Diane Jackson-Humphrey was born November 25, 1948 on Thanksgiving Day to the parents of Lawrence and Ruby Jackson. Both her mother and father preceded her in death. Linda attended Julia C. Frazier, John henry Brown, and Lincoln High School. She later attended the University of Arlington and El Centro Hr. College.
She gave her life to Christ and joined the Church of the Living God at a young age. The youth choir always seemed to be her forte. She was united in marriage to Robert Britton in 1968 whom preceded her in death. Her final marriage to Joey Woodard withstood 5 years. There were no children, although Linda desired children for many years. Her only son was stillborn on July 23, 1971.
She has traveled many roads of life, finally allowing her race to run its course. At last, it is finished and the sun will rise and set no more in my life, at least not on this side. I always wanted to go and be where my mother is. In my heart, I know I must be there rejoicing with her. After all, my friends, I’m finally free! Love to all,
Lyn
Linda leaves to cherish her memories, her Aunt Bessie Farris Aigbadon of Phildaelphia, PA, Uncle Curly Farris of Ft. Worth, TX, Aunt Murlee Holmes of Corsicana, TX., lifelong and best friend Stella Martin, and many first cousins, other relatives, and friends.
