Linda Eileen Plate, mother to Jennifer Lynn Reason, passed away on August 31, 2023, after battling cancer. Her final moments were spent peacefully at the T.Boone Pickens Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Dallas, Texas surrounded by family.
Known for her love of horses and the environment, Linda, very much a free spirit, will be dearly missed by all who knew her. As a biology/geology graduate of the University of North Texas, Linda had an environmentally focused career, working for the United States Geological Survey, the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission and the City of Dallas, among others. As a Certified Master Gardener and Artist, she loved working, painting and photographing outdoors.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Reason, (son in law Mitchell Fadel) brother Gary Eberle, sister Nancy Dvonch, her beloved horse Emma and her beloved dog, Lucy. She was predeceased by another brother, Scott Eberle.
A private service is being planned for the near future where family and friends can gather to honor Linda’s beautiful life.
