Linda Ann Turpen – a loving, beautiful and inspirational soul who impacted the lives of many – left this Earthly world to convene with Saint Peter at the vibrant gates of heaven on January 20th, 2022. She was comforted by her worldly protector, Katie. She was 58 years young.
God was intentional when he brought this loving soul into the world, a day before Valentine’s Day, February 13th, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, to Ray and Eleanor Violet Lee. She dearly loved those who surrounded her and will always be remembered by her deeply rooted empathy for the people she held close. Her nurturing abilities went hand-in-hand with this trait, as she constantly seeked to provide everything she could for her two sons, Austin Jeffrey Turpen and Jordan Elliott Turpen.
Educated at Boerne High School, and later attending a cosmetology program, Linda was known for her beauty at an early age. As a young girl, she even competed in a local pageant, Miss Berges Fest, where she earned an opportunity to be a part of the town parade. She married her high school sweetheart, Kip Turpen, and together they created a legacy through nearly thirty years together. She embraced who she was and selflessly learned she was passionate about making others feel beautiful, as well. She opened her own hair salon for kids and was a trusted member of her community to care for the children of others; to make them feel confident with their hairstyles. This passion continued as a theme through her life, where she later became a Sales Partner with Mary Kay, receiving such high honors she was gifted a brand new car for her contributions and performance. It was clear people gravitated towards her because, ultimately, she made them feel more beautiful around her.
As her story progressed, she transitioned her focus to impacting families through real estate and walking them through the legacy-building process of homeownership. Through her diligent work and perseverance, Linda found herself on the Agent Leadership Council as an acting member from 2002-2009, and achieved many accolades such as a Top Market Center Agent Award for three consecutive years between 2004-2007, a Top Listing Agent in October of 2005 with $2+ million dollars in sales in 30 calendar days and a Corporate Executive Relocation Specialist ABR Award. Her indomitable drive, fierce determination, infectious charisma and utter willingness to succeed, was emboldened by her relationship with Jesus and her faith in God.
In the years before her passing, she was blessed to have met one of a select few people in this world who could match the love she gave, David P Craig, was married to Linda for three years, and truly loved her unconditionally. Those who were close to her know how special he made her feel and the surviving family are forever thankful for the compassionate love he showed her.
She will be remembered for her captivating energy, which lit every room she graced her presence with. The powerful testimony of her unfailing work ethic helped her to continue fighting courageously in her later years, as she was struck with a heart condition. Some would say she succumbed to this, but the many close to her know she loved with every last bit her heart could give. Her memory and legacy will be cherished and kept alive by her mother Eleanor Violet Lee, brother Robert Edward Lee, sister Brenda Marie Lee-Harrison, sons Austin Jeffrey and Jordan Elliott Turpen, niece Courtney Weeks, nephew Michael Lee.
A celebration of Linda’s life and the carrying on of her memory will be held on March 5, 2022, from 2:00-5:00 PM at The Village Country Club, 5670 Village Glen Drive, Dallas, TX, 75206.
