Lloyd “Mack” Haskell McConnell ended his journey of life on May 6, 2016. He passed away at his home in Kemp, Texas after a long battle with heart disease. Mack was 85 years old. Mack was born to Walter Gatlin and Minnie Ola McConnell in Cooper Texas on March 17, 1931. Mack enlisted and served in the United States Marine Corps and fought in the Korean War. Mack worked as a mechanic for the City of Dallas Fire Department where he retired.
Mack’s passion for the outdoors included hunting, fishing, and gardening. He shared this passion with all of his children. Mack is survived by Son Tommy Mack Hester, Daughter Brenda and Richard Massey, Son Kenneth McConnell and Jenny, Daughter Sue and Ben Lockaby, Son Gary and Arika McConnell. Mack had 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Mack will be truly missed by everyone who knew him. He was a hardworking, caring, and generous Father, family man, and friend.
