Lois was born December 11, 1939 to Jane Rowden and Wyzo Griffin. She was reared in Alto, Texas and moved to Dallas as a young adult. Lois was a loving wife and mother, a wonderful friend and excellent cook.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, James Anderson; her sons, Vernon Griffin and Rayford Hamilton; her brothers, Willie B. Mitchell and Vernon Hamilton; and her sister, Alice Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughters, Janie Pearson (Robert) and Lois Hamilton; and her sister, Lorine Ogletree. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Courtanay Griffin and Lolitha Hamilton; her grandsons, Tyrence Steed, Antonio Griffin, KJ Hamilton, and Marcus Hamilton; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
