TEUBNER, Lois Joyce, went peacefully home to be with her Lord on May 1, 2019. She lived to be 100 years of age and had a full life. She was born in Dallas on November 27, 1918, the daughter of Roy and Birdie Teubner. She also had a sister Inez, and a brother Ray.
Lois was in a graduating class of 1936 at Adamson High School in Dallas, and was very active for most of her life. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing with her husband, Louis Elliott Johnson, whom she married in June of 1936. She also enjoyed her Eastern Star, SOOB, and church activities. She went to work full time in the mid-1950’s as an underwriter in the Bond Department of the Continental Insurance Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985. She married Wilbur Glenn Teubner in 1987 and moved to Paris, Texas. After his death in 2005 she moved back to Dallas. Her son Elliot died in 2001.
She is survived by her daughter Marcia Lee Glenn, her son-in-law Burnie (Ellis) Glenn and by her five grandchildren: John and Aaron Glenn, Rebecca Garcia, Noel Johnson, and Marsha Ann Croner. She also had seven great-grandchildren.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, family and friends may make a donation on her behalf to their favorite charity.
The services will be held at the Laurel Land Funeral Home in Dallas on Tuesday, the 7th day of May, at noon. The viewing will take place there from 10:00 till noon that same day, and a brief graveside ceremony will be held at the adjoining Laurel Land Cemetery immediately following.
