Louis was a graduate of Campti-Creston High School in Campti, Louisiana and received his bachelor’s degree in business administration at Texas Christian University. In 1972 Louis enlisted in the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge in 1978.
Louis was employed with the City of Dallas for 20 years and the Internal Revenue Service for 10+ years.
Louis was a saved and Holy Ghost filled, and a proud and faithful member of Full Gospel Holy Temple Church in Dallas, Texas.
In 1995, Louis married Shara Glover, and to this union one son was born.
On July 6, 2024, Louis peacefully passed away from this life to his eternal home.
Louis loved to eat, and his favorite pastime was going to garage sales and thrift shops.
Louis was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Abrams; father, Emile Colbert; brother, Lester Colbert.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, loving and faithful wife of 29 year, Shara Colbert; sons: Jonathan Colbert, Antonio Jackson (Shanna); Brother: Damon Joseph (Brenda); Sisters: Shirley Germany (Willie), Janay Colbert; Mother-in-Law Shirley Glover; Sister-In-Law: Catherine Glover; Brothers-In Law: Jeffrey Glover, Roy Glover, and special sister Pamela Munson; and a host of relatives and friends.
