Louis was retired, but had worked for many years at Fabricators Industries and Adeleta Company as a painter and furniture refurbisher. Louis served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a very strong and proud man that was loved by many. He enjoyed conversing and socializing with everyone, no one was a stranger to him. He was a very friendly and happy man. He enjoyed sports and his favorite teams, were the Dallas Cowboys, LA Dodgers and Notre Dame to name a few. He loved college football and he loved a friendly wager. He would always make side-bets with family especially with his daughters. His love for reading filtered to his family. He would read anything and everything, but he favored Crime stories both fiction and non-fiction. If you ever had a question regarding any political subject, any news story all you had to do was call and ask him, he would explain and then give you his opinion. It is those opinions and stories we will miss the most. As hard as it was to let him go it was harder to see him suffer. We now know he is at peace and now we have another angel to watch over us.
The Gutierrez Family would like to thank the staff at the V.A. Hospital and Rehabilitation Hospice in Lancaster, for their warmth, kindness in caring for our dad in his final days.
Pallbearers will be David A. Cervantes Jr, Tony Cervantes, Abel Gonzales Jr, Edward Guzman, Johnny Gutierrez Jr, Christopher Martinez, Jose Paramo, and Victor Perez. Honorary Pallbearers: Victoria Gutierrez, Melissa Hood, Marisol Perez, Stephen Perez, Priscilla Stricker, and Irma Ramirez.
