

Louis Edward Towell entered eternal life on March 15, 2014. Born July 31st, 1927 to Edward and Annie Towell in Austin, Texas. Louis is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shyrlee; three children, Dwin Towell of Dallas, Keith Towell and wife Martha Towell of Rockwall, Le'Anne Towell Dygert and husband Bret of Jonestown, Texas; five grandchildren Adam, Kevin, Katherine, Brian and Sam Towell; three great grandchildren, Ava, Ella and Cameron Towell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Louis's family was his life, as was his love of hunting and the outdoors. Louis served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific. Upon returning to his home in Victoria, Texas, he met his future wife Shyrlee Emmett of Dallas, Texas. They later made their home in Dallas. He was the owner of Lou's Liquors and Wines, where he was known for his exceptional wines, sense of humor and personal customer service.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 20th, 2014 at St. John's Episcopal Church, with a reception to follow. Family internment at Sparkman Hillcrest Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6 to 8 pm at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, Texas 75225.
