Louise I. Van Gundy (Lewis) our beloved wife, sister,mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away January 8, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Louise was bornSeptember 8, 1928 in North Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Lindenwood College for Women in Saint Charles, Missouri and graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma with a degree in Home Economics. Louise was creative and artistic; she enjoyed art, particularly oil painting, pottery and sculpting. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Edna Lewis of North Kansas City, Missouri, her brother Edward F. Lewis, her sister Wilma Jean Ramsey and her son Richard Abrams. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Arthur L. Van Gundy, sister Katherine Bushnell of Oklahoma City, son Douglas N. Van Gundy and his wife Terry,daughter Karen L. Fugate and fiancé James Brashear,and daughter-in-law Carla Abrams. She leaves sevenbeautiful grandchildren: Amanda, Brian, J.D., Michael, Jennifer, Shannon and Mary; and three precious great-grandchildren: Barrett, Bennett and Sarah. Memorial service on January 10, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, 421 Custer Road,Richardson, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to C.C. Young Hospice, Dallas, Texas or a charity of your choice.
