

Lucille Crayton Dillard was born on June 5, 1932, in Hallsville, Texas to Ernest Crayton and Alice Smith Crayton. She was raised in a loving and close-knit family, grounded in faith, hard work, and devotion to one another. Lucille graduated from high school and carried the values of determination and compassion with her throughout her life.
Lucille later met the love of her life, Willie B. Dillard. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, care, and strong family bonds. Their union was blessed with two daughters, JoAnn Dillard and Barbara Ann Dillard-Anderson. Lucille was a devoted mother who believed in nurturing her family with love, guidance, and unwavering support.
For more than 40 years, Lucille worked at Fishburn’s Dry Cleaning and Laundry, where she served as a Supervisor. She was respected for her leadership, her strong work ethic, and her ability to care for others with kindness and patience. To her coworkers and community, she was known as someone who led by example—with humility, strength, and grace.
Lucille was a faithful member of Pemberton Hill Church of Christ, where she served and worshiped faithfully. Her faith was the foundation of her life and carried her through every blessing and every challenge. She loved the Lord wholeheartedly and lived in a way that reflected her trust in Him.
Lucille leaves to cherish her loving memory her two daughters: JoAnn Dillard and Barbara Ann Anderson (Harold); her grandsons: Rodney Dillard and Brian Anderson; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sister, Earnest L. Donalson, and many other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
Lucille will always be remembered as a woman of quiet strength, steady faith, and deep love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

A visitation for Lucille will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Singing Hills Funeral Home, 6221 University Hills Blvd, Dallas, TX 75241. A celebration of life will occur Friday, October 31, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Church of Christ On Pemberton Hill Road, 320 Pemberton Hill Rd, Dallas, TX 75217. A committal service will occur Friday, October 31, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at External Service Location, 6300 S R L Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75232.
