Lucyle E. Hogue

Lucyle was born on June 27, 1927, in Taylor, Texas to Sherman and Sallie Bell Hennington. She graduated from I.M.Terrell Ft. Worth in 1944 and completed her degree in cosmetology in 1946. She married her love Dewitt Hogue in 1947. After moving to Dallas, Dewitt began working for Braniff and Lucyle became a housewife and mom. They made their home in the Love Field area and lived there for 50 years.

She was a dedicated member of the New St. Paul Church until health issues prohibited.

Lucyle never met a stranger and often became friends with many long-term residents in the area. She was a fixture at the local elementary school, where she was often mending costumes or preparing food for plays or events. Lucyle was all about family. She loved her family and the gatherings that they shared. They were her rock and comfort and she will always be a presence in their celebration

Lucyle E. Hennington Hogue died peacefully December 27, 2023, in Plano, Texas at the age of 96.

Lucyle is survived by her only daughter Carol D. Ridgeway, Plano, TX and her family; husband Thomas Ridgeway, granddaughter Nicole Ridgeway and grandson Matthew Ridgeway and Great-granddaughter Nova Bukley, Plano TX
