Luisa Requenes de Garcia

Luisa was raised in Cloete, Coahuila. She was married to Cirilo Solis Garcia for almost 57 years and the couple had three daughters, Tere, Leti and Juany. Luisa was devoted to her family as she fulfilled her housewife duties. She was a homebody and was happy just being at home. She enjoyed watching her tv shows, loved listening to music and played loteria. She kept things plain and simple. She was a loyal and honest person and loved by many. If you shared anything with her, she would not repeat it. Your secret was safe with her. She had a devotion to our Lady of San Juan de los Lagos. When her daughters would ask her, "Mom, don't you want to go out so you won't be here by yourself at home?" She would respond, "But I'm not alone; God is with me. I pray to him every day." When you think or miss her say an Our Father or Hail Mary for her soul.

Luisa is preceded in death by her parents Cayetano Requenes and Narciza Saucedo. Her in-laws, Ignacio Garcia and Benita Solis. Her siblings, Maria de la Luz Requenes Moreno and Guadalupe Requenes Saucedo and her son in-law Jose Oscar Garza.

Luisa was survived by spouse Cirilo S. Garcia; her daughters, Maria Teresa Garza, Leticia Castaneda and Juanita Garcia; son in-laws, Adrian Castaneda and Alejo Garcia Jr.; grandchildren, Adrian Jr. Jacob Alexander, Yulisa, Joshua and Lisette; great grandchildren, Sophia Nicole, Adriel, Emma Grace and Adriana Gabrielle; siblings, Andrea Perez San Juana de la Rosa Requenes, Ignacio Requenes Saucedo and many more family members.

A visitation for Luisa will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A rosary will occur Monday, July 7, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, July 8, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Edward Catholic Church, 4014 Simpson St, Dallas, TX 75246. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, July 8, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E Irving Blvd, Irving, TX 75060.
