Lupe Hernandez Perez

Lupe was born the oldest of four on August 19, 1920 just outside of the Dallas city limits to Manual Hernandez and Lucinda Morales Hernandez. Her siblings Jesse Hernandez, Marie Brown and Joseph Hernandez all preceded her in death. She was married to Gabriel F. Perez for 63 years, and they lived and raised their family in Dallas, Texas until his death in 2021. She was previously married to Ray Carrillo.

Lupe is survived by six of seven children:

Teodora (Judy) Carrilllo Beauchamp (deceased)

Deborah Carrillo Valdez and spouse Jesse

Dolores Carrillo Johnson

Elvira Perez Hernandez

Adriana Perez Welch and spouse Daniel

Lucinda Perez

Lupe was grandmother to 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three, soon to be four, great-great grandchildren

A memorial service and celebration of life will take place on Saturday April 13, 2024 at 11am at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd Dallas, Tx. 75228. A reception will follow at the same location. The family requests that flowers be sent to the funeral home on Friday April 12, 2024.

Lupe was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who put family first. She was an avid

gardener who loved to spend the day tending her plants. Her flower beds were a source of

pride for her and husband Gabriel. She loved to dance her whole life, jitterbugging

from the 1940’s through to her granddaughter Miranda’s wedding at age 103. The dancing queen has arrived in heaven!
