Lydia Gajdica Prachyl, age 99, passed away on June 26, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on December 3, 1918 in Axtell, Texas to Charlie and Anna Vicha Gajdica. Lydia was raised in Elk, Texas, and attended Eastfield College in 1976. She married William A Prachyl in 1940, and the couple had 1 child together. Lydia was a beautician for 17 years, and later was a Substitute teacher for 10 years.

In her spare time, Lydia enjoyed traveling, entertaining family and friends, and singing in choir at St. Pius Church in Dallas. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and friend who always enjoyed family get-togethers.

Lydia Gajdica Prachyl is preceded in death by: her husband William Prachyl, brothers Charlie and Andrew Gajdica, her sister Elizabeth Urbanovsky, and grand-daughter Katheryne Gilligan. She is survived by: her daughter and son in law, Paula and Bill Gilligan, grand-daughters Annie Gilligan, Maggie Gough and her husband Joel Gough; Grandsons James Gilligan and wife Daniela Etchells, Michael Gilligan and wife Sonia Freeborn, great grand-daughters Talia and Lucy Willcott, her great grand-sons Nash and Riley Gough, and Arlo Jude Gilligan. Lydia is also survived by her brothers: George and Laddie Gajdica, and her sisters Martha Saunders and Chris Sefcik.

Dear, sweet Aunt Lydia...will be missed by all. Aunt Lydia always had the kindest smile for everyone. She will be welcomed in Heaven as she was an angel on earth.
