

Manuel was raised in both, Leon, Guanajuato and Mexico City and graduated from Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes in 1984. He had one child. Mr. Valtierra served his community as an assemblyman, dance teacher, and choreographer at Triumph Aircraft, Ballet Folklorico Hispanio de Dallas for more than thirty-five years.
In his spare time Manuel enjoyed playing and learning music on his guitar. He especially enjoyed teaching and dancing the deep and rich traditions of Mexico. Most importantly he enjoyed being with his grandchildren while playing his X-Box and Playstation games.
Mr. Valtierra was a graduate of the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes and a member of the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico Amalia Hernandez. He was the creator of the Ballet Folklorico Hispano de Dallas and contributed to the community of Mexican Folklore.
His family and friends will always remember him as an el gran maestro, incredibly talented, an incredible human being, honest, and always willing to assist others when they were in need. He had a heart of gold and loved being a ham with his extremely funny personality.
He is preceded in death by Maria de la Luz Valtierra, Castalina Valtierra, Luis Valtierra, Jose Valtierra, Tio and Gordo Valtierra. He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe J. "Walley" Godinez, daughter, Giovanna; grandchildren, Hector, Manuel, Jaime, Isabel, and Giovanni.
A Visitation for Maestro will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247.
