Marcie Diane Trawnik was born January 28,1953 in Dallas, Texas. Her parents, Richard A. Walker and Billie Ruth (Barnhart) Walker were natives of Oak Cliff. Marcie was the oldest of 4 Walker children, sister Patti and brothers Brad and Blake. Marcie grew up in the Glen Oaks section of Oak Cliff. Growing up she loved dancing and was on the drill team in Jr. High and High school. She graduated from J.F. Kimball High School in 1971. She began her collegiate studies at the University of Texas at Arlington and later transferred to Baylor College of Dentistry where she earned a B.S. of Dental Science.
Marcie married her high school sweetheart Randy Trawnik in 1973 and together they built a life in Kessler Park. Marcie pursued a career as a Dental Hygienist but her greatest joy came from being a Mom. She has 3 beautiful children, Maegen, John and Benjamin. Marcie was very involved in her children’s schools and activities. She loved to read and enjoyed her time with her book club group. She inherited a love of antiques from her grandmother. She was a great cook and host and showed her love for her family and friends by hosting many holidays, showers, graduations and parties. Above all else, Marcie loved her family. She was happiest when she was hanging out with her kids, with her grandkids in California, or with her nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews at soccer games or swim meets here in the Dallas metroplex. More than anything else, she loved being with her Mom and with her best friend and sister Patti.
Marcie is preceded in death by both parents Richard and Billie Walker, brother Brad Walker and brother-in-law, Larry Barton.
