Preceded in death by parents, Frank Clay Mills and Margaret Maddrey Mills; her brother, Frank C. Mills, Jr. and his wife Ruby; and her husband, Robert A. Capers. She was born at Methodist Hospital and grew up in Oak Cliff. She graduated from Sunset High School in 1935.Longtime member of Cliff Temple Baptist Church. Married Robert Addison Capers May 7, 1942. She enjoyed membership in many social groups including F.U.N. Club, The Oak Cliff Women's Club, Women of Rotary, Oak Cliff Book Club, and The Senile Seven. She enjoyed volunteering at Methodist Hospital, and in the library at Cliff Temple. She is survived by her three children Nancy Ivy and husband Jim, Bob Capers and wife Pat, and Sherry Capers as well as their families which include her four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
