Margaret will be remembered for her radiant smile, her warmth and joy, her compassionate care for those in need, and her faith and trust in the Lord.
She was a devoted wife to her husband, Leo, and they were married for nearly 69 years. Some of their happiest memories included their travels together throughout the US. They shared a great love of family and were happiest when hosting family get-togethers in their home. Margaret was a loving mother of seven children and an adoring grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Freida, Margaret’s middle name, means beautiful, beloved and peace. This accurately describes the life she lived.
Margaret was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church for 54 years and served as a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas where she tirelessly gave of her time and talents. Through Margaret’s generous gift of self, she was a vessel of God’s love and mercy to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bessie Rebecca and Henry Macil McGough, husband, Leo, and son, Mark.
Margaret is survived by her children: Connie Hill and her husband, Larry, of Lavon, Texas, Paul Londenberg and his wife Linda of Dallas, Texas, Mary Ann LaPolla and her husband Tony of Penfield, New York, Theresa McKissack of San Antonio, Texas, Phillip Londenberg and his wife Carmen of Argyle, Texas, and John Londenberg and his wife Terry of Hillsborough, New Jersey.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 PM on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Rd, Dallas, TX 75220.
Mass will be preceded by a visitation at 11:00 AM, followed by a rosary at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Saint Vincent DePaul Society at St. Monica Catholic Church.
