

Margaret was born in Dallas, Texas on June 2, 1961, to Bettie Dancy Ragland and Alphonso "Fonse" Ragland III.
She graduated from Highland Park High School Dallas, TX in 1979.
She briefly attended The University of Oklahoma, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, but decided her heart was in Texas and continued to receive a Bachelor of Science in Advertising at the University of Texas in 1983.
Margaret continued her studies and graduated with a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in 1989, She passed the bar on her 1st attempt and worked as an associate attorney for Kuehne, Moore and Ross for three years, before deciding to pursue a career in teaching.
She went on to teach English as a Second Language at W. T. White, HS where she also enjoyed the privilege of coaching students in Cross Country and Swimming (following her dad’s love/lettering in swimming at UT).
She also went on to teach English as a Second Language at Barbara Mann's High School, where she received “TEACHER OF THE YEAR” in 2009.
Margaret enjoyed travelling the world, music, the arts, and animals. Some of her favorite places to go were Italy, Greece, Costa Rica (not to mention Paris, England, Raglan Wales, and the Netherlands). She also loved Alaska and Mexico. . . .her favorite of all destinations was Isla Mujeres, Mexico. . .
She also enjoyed snow skiing and was a certified deep sea scuba diver (Cancun, Cozumel, Turks and Caicos, and Isla Mujeres).
Margaret was quite the music lover-- a special thanks goes to Randy Davis, for turning her on to her favorite Jimmy Buffett. She also loved Tom Petty, Eddie Money, as well as the Rolling Stones and Heart.
Margaret "loved" animals. . . .she was an in-demand pet-sitter, and loved caring for huskies Georgee, Hairyson, and Flower, as well as beloved Ollie the Cavapoo.
She is preceded in death by her father, Alphonso Ragland III.
Margaret is survived by her Husband and best friend Marc Snyder, Mother, Bettie D. Francis, Sister Lillian Ragland, Stepmother Tricia Ragland, Stepbrother Jeff Moore and wife Michelle, Aunt Lila Ragland Brown, Cousins Jan Mueller (Mark), Scott Ragland (Terry), Cruger Ragland Jr (Mary), Ace Brown, Alex Dancy (Shelley), Claiborne Dancy (Martha), Blair Dancy (Allison), and Leighton Dancy, countless friends and several great nieces and nephews.
