
Margaret “Granny” Hazel McFadden-Simpson of Dallas, Texas went to be with our Lord on March 5, 2015 at the age of 89. Margaret was born to parents Andrew Jackson McFadden and Tommy Lela McFadden in Terrell, Texas on July 21, 1925. Margaret was the 8th child of 6 sisters and 5 brothers. Margaret grew up in many cities but made her home in Terrell, Texas. Margaret married her husband, Hose Lee Simpson on August 23, 1947 in Terrell, Texas. Margaret worked for many years at McCall’s Patterns and Chopping Block and then later worked for Associated Optical. She retired after many years to spend more time with her beloved grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret is survived by her son, Ronnie Simpson and wife Tracy of Mansfield, Texas, daughter Debbie Aynes and husband James of Dallas, Texas, Grandson Jeff Aynes and wife Yolanda of Nevada, Texas, Grandson Ronnie Aynes and wife Amanda of Mesquite, Texas, Grandson Aaron Bartz and wife Tami of Mansfield, great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Kimberly, MacKenzie and Sofia, Sister Hattie Wright of Cockrell Hill, Texas, sister Betty Glasscock and husband Joe of Lancaster, Texas and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Hose Lee Simpson of Terrell, Texas, both parents, Andrew Jackson McFadden and Tommy Lela McFadden of Terrell, Texas, Sister Ruth Derring of Dallas, Texas, Sister Mary Latham of Seagoville, Texas, Sister Minnie McFadden of East Texas, Sister Ruby Vance of Terrell, Texas, Brother Marion McFadden of East Texas, Brother Clifford McFadden of Balch Springs, Texas, Brother Zolan McFadden of Dallas, Texas, Brother Billy Jack McFadden on Dallas, Texas and Louis McFadden of Columbus, Ohio.
Services will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home at 3920 Samuell Blvd. Family will receive visitors on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The funeral will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Terrell, Texas. Dr. Tom Wilbanks and Brother Rusty Hathcock will officiate services. Pallbearers will be Albert Latham, Clifford Vance, Jerry McFadden, Johnny Vance, Rick McFadden and Tommy Glasscock.
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, as well as Dr. Michael Carroll for the loving care he provided to Margaret for many years.
And now go in peace, and as you go, go knowing that by the goodness of God you were born, that in the providence of God you are kept all the day long, and in the love of God, fully revealed in Jesus Christ our Savior, we, each one, have been redeemed for a purpose. Dr. Tom Wilbanks
